LicenseWatch FAQ

Manual Uninstallation of LicenseWatch

  1. Go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
  2. Stop service LW Client Package Handler
  3. Stop service LW SMS Client if it exists
  4. In the registry go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services.
  5. Delete the key LWClientPackageHandler and the key LWSMSClient if it exists.
  6. Go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Internet Information Services
  7. Go to local computer / Web Sites / Default Web Site
  8. Delete the 2 virtual directories LicenseWatch and LWClientRequestHandler
  9. Run iisreset Uninstall MSDE if that was installed as part the LicenseWatch installation, see Uninstall/Reinstall of MSDE
  10. Delete the LicenseWatch folder from the start menu
  11. Remove sharing on the folder
    C:\Program Files\LicenseWatchPlatinum\Client
  12. Delete the folder C:\Program Files\LicenseWatchPlatinum
