Citrix EdgeSight Connector

Customers with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop virtualization have a big challenge to get management information. Application usage and rights as well as performance data is spread around the Citrix servers. That is unless customers start using the Citrix EdgeSight product in their environment.

EdgeSight databases can contain performance and usage data from XenApp and also from XenDesktop. LicenseWatch now has built an EdgeSight Connector to get the EdgeSight information directly into LicenseWatch.

The standard and already available LicenseWatch Citrix Connector can collect who has the right to start an application (published applications). These two information sources combined will provide all the necessary data to find out what user has access to what application and who is actually using the applications. The LicenseWatch License Manager can then calculate compliance and find possible savings on license costs.

The EdgeSight Connector, combined with the Citrix Connector delivers increased manageability and usability of the Citrix environment. It also completely eliminates the need for agents, also on Citrix servers. The EdgeSight Connector even further extends LicenseWatch’s capabilities in virtual environments like VMware ESX/ESXI and Microsoft Hyper-V.
