Software Recognition for MS SCCM

The combination of the LicenseWatch recently announced Software DNA with the LicenseWatch SMS/SCCM connector now gives customers the possibility to add advanced software recognition to the Microsoft SMS or SCCM environment. The LicenseWatch SCCM connector allows the SMS / SCCM data to be loaded directly into the LicenseWatch database. This means that inventory data can be gathered with the SMS / SCCM agent only, without the need to deploy the LicenseWatch agent. When the data is in from SMS / SCCM, the LicenseWatch Software DNA can make manageable data from this and creates categorized and advance software information, including version and language. The LicenseWatch Software DNA will also recognize software suites.



The LicenseWatch Software DNA is a database with all the software patterns stored centrally at the LicenseWatch application. As this database is very dynamic with new software applications coming to the market nearly daily, customers can synchronize their DNA with the central LicenseWatch DNA database over the internet as part of their yearly maintenance subscription. Customers can also add their own specific or home-grown applications to the Software DNA.
